Iron Gate Dam is located on the Klamath River about seven miles downstream of Copco No. 2 Dam.  The crest elevation is 2,343 feet and it can divert 1,735 cfs.  Iron Gate is the terminal dam for 5 dams operated  by PacificCorp, a utility company, through agreements with the Bureau of Reclamation. The Iron Gate Dam is an earth and rock dam. Its powerhouse produces 18 megawatts of electricity.
