Rain! Klamath, California, near the mouth of the Klamath River, averages over 100 inches of rain yearly. There are two major flow periods for the river. Subtropical storms hammer the region from late December to early March. The spring snow melt in the entire Klamath watershed also raises the river. Late summer and early fall historically have low flows.
